“Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed” (Proverbs 16:3)* Do you have any new plans or projects for the near future? Many of us have something that we would like to accomplish; it may be related to our career, school, business or family. In order to make your dreams a reality you will need to get started. In the process you will probably need to take risks and hopefully, with God’s help, you will make your dreams come true. Let me share five keys to achieve new projects.
1. Network With Others
Networking is the ability to work with others that have the same or similar visions and goals. Whatever your dream is, there are other people and organizations that may have the same or similar projects. You can benefit from each other as you share goals, ideas, resources and even frustrations. There is strength in unity!
2. Continue Whatever Is Working
You are very likely doing some good things. I suggest you continue with anything that is currently working. Since you are starting a “new project”, don’t trash what is working at this time. Continue with whatever is working well: business, career, studies, or relationships with family and friends. Then see if your new project begins to unfold and to prosper.
3. Expect Closed Doors
I recently went to a business expecting it to be open. As I pulled the door, it was locked. It happens to all of us; we are expecting “open doors” and we are surprised when we find “closed doors”. I know it is frustrating when things we expect do not go our way. As you may already know “stuff happens” but it may not be all bad. I believe that God closes some doors because it may not be the right time or the right place for us. This does NOT mean your project is not worthy; it may just be delayed or rearranged a bit.
4. Wait For Open Doors
The opposite also happens. Just this week I called my optometrist three times and the line was busy. I was desperate to have my reading glasses repaired so I headed to her office hoping they were open. When I arrived, there were no parked cars; I thought there was no one in the office. I was surprised to find the door unlocked and open for business. As we pursue new projects, we will be astonished that some doors are open. When you encounter open doors move forward with your plans. God opens doors we do not expect, if we are flexible and ready they are key to our projects.
5. Green Means Go!
When the light turns green step on it and go! At times we may be on the “red light” for a while. We may feel that we are never going to move forward with our project, that we have reached the end of the road. But when you get the “green light” don’t look back, don’t wait another minute. This is NOT the time to second guess yourself. This is your chance; go make your vision and your projects a reality!
John Hoyer Updike, an American novelist, poet, short story writer, art critic once said: “Dreams come true; without that possibility, nature would not incite us to have them”. I am convinced that at least some dreams come from God. If you have a project in your heart it may be divinely inspired. Remember the five keys. May God place His dreams in your heart and may you have the courage to pursue them.

¡5 Claves Para Alcanzar Nuevos Proyectos!
“Pon en manos del Señor todas tus obras, y tus proyectos se cumplirán” (Proverbios 16:3)*
¿Tiene usted algunos planes o proyectos para el futuro cercano? Muchos tenemos algo que nos gustaría realizar; quizás con relación a nuestra carrera, escuela, empresa o familia. Para llegar a realizar sus sueños necesitará comenzar. En proceso a realizar sus sueños probablemente necesitara tomar riesgos y ojalá, con la ayuda de Dios; hará realidad sus sueños. Le comparto cinco claves para alcanzar nuevos proyectos.
1. Establezca Contactos
El establecer contactos profesionales es la habilidad de trabajar con otros que tienen la misma meta y visión o algo similar a las suya. Cualquier cosa que soñemos, hay otras personas y organizaciones que tienen el mismo proyecto o uno similar. Mutuamente pueden beneficiarse al compartir metas, ideas, recursos e inclusive; frustraciones. ¡En la unidad hay fuerza!
2. Continúe Con Lo Que Está Funcionando
Los más probable que usted estada haciendo algunas cosas buenas. Yo sugiero que continúe con cualquier cosa que en el presente está funcionando. Ya que está iniciando un “nuevo proyecto”, no bote a la basura aquello que está funcionando. Continúe con lo que da provecho: en su empresa, su carrera, sus estudios, o sus relaciones con la familia y los amigos. Entonces vea como se desarrolla y prospera su proyecto.
3. Espere Algunas Puertas Cerradas
Recientemente fui a un negocio esperando que estuviera abierto. Al tratar de abrir la puerta, la puerta estaba cerrada. Esto nos sucede a todos; esperamos “puertas abiertas” y somos sorprendidos al encontrar “puertas cerradas”. Yo se que es frustrante cuando lo que esperamos no marcha de la manera esperada. Como seguro que usted ya sabe “ocurren horrores” pero quizás no es totalmente malo. Yo creo que Dios cierra algunas puertas porque quizás no es el momento correcto o el lugar correcto para nosotros. Esto NO significa que su proyecto no tiene valor; simplemente que puede demorar o ser arreglado.
4. Espere Algunas Puertas Abiertas
Lo opuesto también sucede. La semana pasada llamé a mi optometrista tres veces y la línea estaba ocupada. Estaba desesperado porque me urgía reparar mis lentes para leer, así que partí para la oficina con la esperanza que estuviera abierto. Cuando llegué no había coches estacionados y pensé que no había nadie en la oficina. Me sorprendí el empujar la puerta que sí estaban trabajando. Cuando perseguimos nuestros proyectos, quedaremos atónitos al encontrar algunas puertas abiertas. Cuando las puertas están abiertas, marche adelante con sus planes. Dios abre puertas que no esperábamos, si somos flexibles y estamos listos ellas son claves para nuestro proyecto.
5. La Luz Verde, ¡Avanza!
¡Cuando la luz cambia a verde, pisa el acelerador y avanza! Algunas épocas quizás estamos por un tiempo con la “luz roja”. Nos podemos sentir como si no avanzamos con nuestro proyecto, que hemos llegado al fin de la carretera. Pero cuando cambia a la “luz verde”, no mire hacía atrás ni espere otro minuto. Este NO es el momento de cuestionarse así mismo. Esta es su oportunidad; ¡avance a realizar su visión y su proyecto!
